How does ProofTime estimate bulk fermentation time?

Enter your room temperature, how much levain you are using and how active your starter is. ProofTime turns these into an estimated time window. Fermentation is biological, so treat the result as a guide: watch the dough, not just the clock.

Will the timer alert me when it finishes?

No. The countdown runs on screen while ProofTime is open, and the App does not send notifications. If you will be away from your phone, set an alarm for the end time shown. If iOS closes the App in the background, the countdown resets.

Which units does ProofTime support?

Temperature can be shown in °F or °C. The dough and feeding calculators work in grams.

How do I use the feeding calculator?

Pick a feed ratio such as 1:1:1, 1:2:2 or 1:5:5, enter the final weight you want, and ProofTime shows the exact grams of starter, flour and water.

Can I save more than one starter?

Yes. In My Starters you can save several profiles, each with a name, hydration percentage, activity level and notes. Swipe left on a starter to delete it.

Does ProofTime need an internet connection?

No. Every calculation happens on your device, and the App works fully offline.

I reinstalled the App and my starters are gone.

Starter profiles are stored only on your device, so deleting the App removes them. Restoring your iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup made before you deleted the App can bring them back.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request one.
