Overview
Encore: Remote for Harmony Hub (“the App”) is developed by Leilei Zhang. It is a remote control that talks to a Logitech Harmony Hub on your home Wi-Fi. This page explains what the App does — and does not — do with your data.
Short version: Encore collects no data. It talks only to your Harmony Hub on your local network. There is no account, no server and no cloud.
Local Network
Encore asks for permission to use your local network so it can find your Harmony Hub and send it commands (starting activities, pressing keys). This traffic goes directly between your iPhone or iPad and your hub, inside your own network. It is never sent to us, to Logitech or to anyone else.
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, location, or contact information
- We do not track your usage or behavior
- We do not use advertising networks or analytics SDKs
- We do not send your hub’s configuration, activities or devices off your device
- We do not require an account or login
Data Storage
Encore remembers the address and name of the hubs you connect to, and a list of their activities so widgets and Siri can show them. This is stored only on your device, in storage shared between the App and its widgets. Deleting the App removes it.
Purchases
The one-time “Encore Pro” purchase is processed by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Crash Reports
If you have enabled “Share with App Developers” in iOS settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us. They contain your device model, iOS version and a technical stack trace, and no personal information.
Children’s Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13.
Trademarks
Encore is an independent app and is not made by or affiliated with Logitech. Harmony is a trademark of Logitech.
